About Journal

  Water Saving Irrigation (ISSN1007-4929) is the only Chinese academic journal in the research field of water saving irrigation. It is publicly distributed at home and abroad, monthly issued, color-printed. In 1976, the journal was founded in the title of Spray Irrigation Technology and was renamed to the current title in 1996. The journal is jointly sponsored by Wuhan University and China Irrigation and Drainage Development Center. The journal has won the “Excellent Journal Award” of the Ministry of Water Resources and Hubei Province for several times. It is indexed by “Chinese Core Journals”, “The Key Magazine of China Technology”, RCCSE Journals, WJCI Report, Chinese Academic Journals Impact Factor Annual Report, JST and EBSCO.
  The aim of the journal is to publicize and promote water-saving irrigation technology in China and introduce new trends, new achievements and new information of water-saving irrigation technology research at home and abroad. The journal is also aimed to help scientific and technological personnel to obtain information and to guide their scientific research, and also to facilitate learning and practice for agrotechnicians.

  The publishing scope includes: basic theory of water saving irrigation; the interrelationship and interaction among meteorology – hydrology - water (surface water, soil water, underground water, salt water, sewage, reclaimed water) - soil - crops - fertilizer - irrigation methods - non engineering water and fertilizer saving methods (such as covering, water retaining agent, slow release, planting methods, etc.) - irrigation system - water and soil environment, as well as various scientific methods in the study of those effects; intelligent irrigation; empirical model, numerical model and machinery model; development and application of water-saving irrigation system; the influence of equipment parameters, environmental parameters, social factors and application conditions on the water-saving irrigation system; telemetry and remote sensing, etc.
